Status of Pharmacy Education in Chhattisgarh. India

Hello Students and Pharmacy Friends.

Lets begin the conversation with Pharmacy education first, then we will talk about its status in Chhattisgarh. It is a very well accepted fact that food, cloth and shelter are essential stuff for human beings, but the real fact behind these are only to achieve good health, so that one can survive and enjoy the charm of god gifted life. As the health is prime importance than any of others, so it’s novel responsibility of that person to keep the world healthy, and that person is proudly called as health care professional, Dr. and pharmacist both comes under it, but the pharmacist is the base of health care profession. A person who is directly and actively involved in the life cycle of medicine. Pharmacist is a connecting link between patient and physician so patient feel connected and can easily share their problem with the doctor or pharmacist.

In Chhattisgarh there are is a huge population of young students who are about to pass the higher secondary examination and they are on the line where they have to choose their carrier. In past few years there where low rate of education so parents where not aware of various course available after passing H.S. School. students passed in Biology usually go for MBBS preparation and other Medical profession, and those students who have passed with mathematics preferably choose Engineering. but now the scenario is changing specially in Chhattisgarh, due to education policy modification by state government and by opening of new employment in pharmacy field.

There are about 21 listed college in Chhattisgarh including Diploma and Degree (D.Pharma and B.Pharma) located at major location like- Ambikapur, Raigarh, Bilaspur, Pendra, Bhatapara, Raipur, Durg, and Bhilai. All these college are well connected with transport facility, but this is the condition of July 2018, and it was not the same few decades ago. the situation was so tough for the colleges as there where no student available for the Pharmacy courses, because parents and student did not know the scope and opportunity of pharmacy subject.

Time has passed and several new changes start to take shape. These factors includes-

1. Strict rule and regulation by PCI (pharmacy Council of India)

2. Opening of many government primary and district hospital along with private hospitals

3. Need of registered pharmacist

4. Imposing the rule that only registered pharmacist will have licence to run a medical store

5. Accepting medical store as a earning business

6. Some accident which open the opportunity for senior pharmacist

7. Easy education loan scheme by state government at 01 Rs interest rate

8. Increasing in the awareness among new age students. etc

These were the only few factor which boost the pharmacy sector specially in Chhattisgarh state. apart from these there are many other reasons.

If we would like to conclude the blog we may easily say that there is better scope and future of pharmacy in Chhattisgarh at least for the upcoming 10 years. Many pharmacy colleges are also about to introduce in these years so there will be a tough competition between the management for occupying students but this competition is really fruitful and beneficial for the students as they will get best discount price in their fees structure.
